Proposal for new Wild West-themed slot hall

During a hearing held by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, Nemacolin Woodlands Resort announced its plans to build a slot parlor evoking old Western-style saloons, hotels and banks.

The casino would cost $40 million and house 500 slot machines. According to Nemacolin officials the project would create about 344 jobs and generate more than $30 million in revenues per year.

Maggie Hardy Magerko, Nemacolin President, said that they were very excited and the project was about tourism and service and growth. "It will be a world-class facility," she added.

The casino would be located in the former Woodlands World building. In addition to the slot parlor it will also contain a bar, several shops, a restaurant and an entertainment area.
