Pinnacle increases investment in casino project

The Board of Directors of Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc. approved an increment in the budget of the casino resort the company is building in St. Louis, Missouri. Pinnacle decided to add a nightclub, parking and site improvements and retail stores.

The budget was increased from $350 million to $430 million, which reflects the additions and the increment in the cost of construction materials since the initial budget was established.

"Since our original efforts in the area began, the St. Louis gaming market has shown solid growth and the revitalization of the downtown area has continued, including the recent opening of the new Busch Stadium approximately ten blocks from our site", Daniel R. Lee, Chairman and CEO of Pinnacle Entertainment, said.

The St. Louis Casino is expected to open in the second half of 2007.
